Things to see in Tel Aviv: Bialik House

Bialik House is one of the most fun and interesting museums in Tel Aviv, located on the very charming Bialik street, off Allenby, in the center of Tel Aviv. The house is of course the former home of Israel's national poet, Haim Nachman Bialik, who bought the plot of land where the house is now located in 1924, and the house itself was ready in 1925. Bialik lived here until 1934, and after his death, the house was donated to the municipality of Tel Aviv, who made it into a museum. Even if you are not that familiar with H.N Bialik's work, this house is well worth a visit, due to the beautiful details in it. One of the most striking features are the tiles in the reception area. But if you are indeed familiar with the poet, you will surely learn quite a few new things about him during your visit as well. There is also a large library on the premises, as well as an area behind the house itself, where special exhibits are often held. The museum is located on 22 Bialik Street (a street where several other museums are located as well), and admission is 20 NIS for adults, but discounts are given to students, soldiers, senior citizens and many others. The museum is open every day, including weekends.
